The vouchers include a maximum net merchandise value, free shipping and statutory VAT.
The €50 voucher includes a maximum net merchandise value of €35.32
The €35 voucher includes a maximum net merchandise value of €22.71
The €20 voucher includes a maximum net merchandise value of €10.10
Digital voucher codes:
After purchase, the ordered number of vouchers will be sent as digital codes by email, usually within 2–3 working days.
The codes can easily be forwarded to the recipient(s) and are valid immediately.
Redemption:
Recipients can freely choose from all items available in the METRO Shop – up to the respective maximum net merchandise value. There are no additional costs.
The codes can simply be entered in the voucher field during the checkout process.
Purchase & billing:
The purchaser receives the invoice after purchase, regardless of when the voucher is redeemed.
The purchase can, of course, be charged to a cost centre.
Remaining balances:
Payment or credit of any unused remaining balance is not possible.
Validity:
Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
Note for employers:
The voucher amounts are structured so that, including VAT and shipping costs, they do not exceed the tax-free benefit-in-kind limit of €50 (§ 8 para. 2 sentence 11 EStG).
